To celebrate and honor, through high quality interpretation and displays, the heritage of Conoco and the people who contributed to its success, long-term survival, enduring qualities and pioneering spirit.
The Conoco Museum is dedicated to the acquisition, preservation and exhibition of materials relevant to the company's origin, development, people and products. The museum accepts only those materials that it intends to retain for its collections. Donated items may be used for the purposes of exhibit displays, research and educational programs. Due to the high cost of processing and storage, the museum reserves the right to not accept items that appear deteriorated, duplicated or fall outside of the museum's mission statement.
Specific Areas of Collection:
Materials are acceptable to the extent that they are the best quality and condition available and are relevant to one or more of the following areas:
• Corporate History
• Working for Conoco
• Research and Development
• Exploration and Expansion
• Retail, Promotions, and Marketing
Items to Offer:
As part of the ongoing collection policy and to guard against possible damage to donated items, the Conoco and Phillips Heritage Museums, Inc., has established the following procedure for handling potential donations and/or purchases for the Conoco Museum.
Potential donations or purchases must be submitted in writing, addressed to the Conoco Museum. All requests should include detailed description, approximate measurements, information regarding its place in company history, and a statement about your desire to donate or sell the item. Photographs are encouraged.
The curator will evaluate the item(s) in relation to the overall museum mission and its relevance to the collections policy. You will then be contacted by the Conoco Museum director or the museum staff.
